1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to VALKORED.
At VALKORED, we believe that quality, reliability, transparency and customer satisfaction are essential to a trustworthy online shopping experience.
When customers purchase products from our store, they should have confidence that those products are accurately described, suitable for their intended purpose and consistent with applicable consumer protection requirements.
We understand that occasionally a product may develop a fault, fail to perform as reasonably expected or require repair or replacement.
Our Consumer Guarantees & Warranty Policy explains the legal protections available to customers, the role of manufacturer and retailer warranties, and how VALKORED handles concerns relating to product quality, safety, defects and performance.
VALKORED is an online retail department store offering products across home and living, fashion, beauty, technology, accessories, intimate apparel, gardening, outdoor essentials and everyday lifestyle categories.
Our principal customer markets are Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Some products may be sourced through international manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and authorised fulfilment partners.
We recognise that different countries have different consumer protection requirements.
We are committed to respecting the mandatory legal rights applicable to the products we sell and the customers we serve.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any statutory consumer guarantee, warranty protection, refund entitlement or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where mandatory consumer protection legislation provides customers with greater rights than this policy, those legal protections will prevail.
This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy and Order Cancellation Policy.

3. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This policy applies to qualifying purchases made directly through valkored.com.
It addresses consumer rights and obligations relating to:
- Product quality.
- Product descriptions.
- Product suitability and functionality.
- Manufacturing defects.
- Product durability.
- Repairs and replacements.
- Refunds for qualifying product failures.
- Manufacturer warranties.
- Voluntary retailer warranties.
- Internationally sourced products.
- Product safety issues.
- Product recalls.
- Relevant return and repair expenses.
- Customer complaints and dispute resolution.
The rights available for a particular purchase depend on applicable law, the product, the contract and the circumstances.
Where goods are purchased for business or commercial purposes, different legal protections may apply.
We will assess the relevant transaction under the applicable legislation rather than assume that every purchase has identical legal protections.
4. OUR COMMITMENT TO PRODUCT QUALITY
VALKORED aims to offer products that provide reasonable value, functionality and quality consistent with their descriptions and applicable legal requirements.
We aim to work with suppliers who provide accurate product information and appropriate documentation for the products they supply.
Our approach includes seeking to:
- Present accurate product descriptions.
- Provide relevant technical specifications.
- Identify product variations correctly.
- Display appropriate size and compatibility information.
- Communicate material product limitations.
- Review product complaints.
- Investigate reported defects.
- Respond to safety concerns.
- Support legally required repairs, replacements and refunds.
- Comply with applicable mandatory product standards.
We recognise that an international supplier’s willingness to sell a product does not automatically establish that the product complies with every requirement in the customer’s country.
Relevant product compliance obligations must be considered before goods are offered for sale.
5. WHAT ARE CONSUMER GUARANTEES?
Consumer guarantees are legal protections that apply automatically to qualifying purchases under relevant consumer protection legislation.
They establish minimum standards that goods and, in some circumstances, services must meet.
Depending on the jurisdiction, these protections may address whether products:
- Are of acceptable or satisfactory quality.
- Are reasonably fit for their normal purpose.
- Are suitable for an applicable purpose communicated to the seller.
- Match their advertised description.
- Match an applicable sample or demonstration model.
- Have the performance and characteristics reasonably expected.
- Meet relevant safety requirements.
- Provide legally required ownership and possession rights.
- Comply with other applicable statutory requirements.
Consumer guarantees are different from promotional promises or voluntarily offered warranties.
They arise from applicable law and do not generally depend on a customer purchasing additional warranty protection.
6. WHAT IS A PRODUCT WARRANTY?
A warranty is a legally relevant promise or assurance concerning a product.
Depending on the circumstances, it may be provided by a manufacturer, retailer, distributor or another party.
A warranty may cover specified defects, workmanship, product performance or other defined matters.
Some warranties provide a stated period during which particular remedies are available.
Other express warranties arise from specific representations about a product’s quality, functionality or characteristics.
A voluntary warranty may provide benefits beyond mandatory consumer rights.
However, a warranty does not automatically replace or restrict rights established by law.
Where applicable legislation requires a particular warranty format, disclosure or prescribed consumer rights statement, the relevant warranty provider must comply with those requirements.
7. STATUTORY RIGHTS AND VOLUNTARY WARRANTIES
Customers should understand the distinction between statutory consumer rights and optional warranty benefits.
Statutory Consumer Rights
These arise under applicable law and may provide remedies where products fail legally required standards.
Manufacturer Warranties
These are additional promises made by a manufacturer or other identified warrantor, subject to the applicable warranty terms.
Retailer Warranties
These are additional promises a retailer may voluntarily provide, where expressly offered.
Extended Warranties or Service Contracts
These may provide additional repair or service benefits under a separate agreement, subject to applicable law.
An optional warranty cannot lawfully remove statutory consumer protections that are mandatory in the relevant jurisdiction.
No general VALKORED-wide voluntary warranty period is established by this policy.
Where an additional warranty is offered for a particular product, its coverage and conditions will be separately identified.
8. PRODUCTS MUST MATCH THEIR DESCRIPTION
We aim to ensure that products supplied to customers correspond with the material descriptions and specifications presented before purchase.
Relevant information may include:
- Product name.
- Model.
- Colour.
- Size.
- Dimensions.
- Material composition.
- Compatibility.
- Technical capabilities.
- Features.
- Intended use.
- Package contents.
A product that is materially different from its description may fail applicable consumer protection requirements.
Where such a failure occurs, the customer may be entitled to an appropriate statutory remedy.
A general disclaimer concerning possible product differences does not permit us to supply goods that are materially different from what was agreed.
Where a product variation is important to its functionality or suitability, we aim to explain that variation before purchase.
9. FITNESS FOR PURPOSE
Products should be suitable for the ordinary purposes for which goods of that kind are supplied, as required by applicable law.
In some circumstances, additional protections apply where a customer communicates a particular intended purpose before purchase and reasonably relies on the seller’s skill or judgment.
For example, if a product is represented as compatible with a particular device, its actual compatibility may be relevant to whether the product meets applicable legal requirements.
Similarly, a household item advertised for a particular use should have the functionality reasonably required for that disclosed use.
If a customer purchases a product for a purpose that was not represented, disclosed or reasonably contemplated, the available rights will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
We encourage customers to contact us before purchase where important compatibility or suitability information is unclear.
10. ACCEPTABLE QUALITY AND PRODUCT DURABILITY
Where applicable law requires acceptable or satisfactory quality, products must meet the relevant legal standard.
Quality may be assessed by considering factors such as:
- The nature of the product.
- Its price.
- Advertising and product descriptions.
- Relevant statements made by the seller or manufacturer.
- Reasonable expectations concerning performance.
- Product safety.
- Appearance and finish.
- Freedom from defects.
- Durability.
- Other relevant circumstances.
A product is not automatically of acceptable quality merely because it operates when first received.
Some defects may become apparent only after ordinary use.
The legal assessment of durability depends on the product and circumstances.
An inexpensive accessory may reasonably have different durability expectations from a premium electronic device or substantial household item.
A short voluntary warranty period does not automatically determine how long statutory consumer protections remain available.
11. AUSTRALIA — AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Australian customers may be protected by the Australian Consumer Law, including the mandatory consumer guarantees applying to qualifying transactions.
These guarantees arise automatically and cannot be excluded by ordinary store policies or voluntary warranty conditions.
Depending on the product and circumstances, guarantees may include:
- Acceptable quality.
- Fitness for a disclosed purpose.
- Correspondence with description.
- Correspondence with an applicable sample or demonstration model.
- Compliance with relevant express warranties.
- Applicable rights concerning repairs and spare parts.
- Appropriate ownership and possession rights.
Where a product fails an applicable consumer guarantee, customers may be entitled to a statutory remedy.
The available remedy depends on whether the failure is major or minor and on other relevant legal requirements.
VALKORED will assess eligible Australian claims under the Australian Consumer Law rather than solely under a manufacturer’s voluntary warranty.
12. AUSTRALIA — MAJOR PRODUCT FAILURES
A major failure may arise where a product has a problem that meets the relevant legal test.
Examples may include circumstances where:
- The product is unsafe.
- The product is substantially different from its description.
- A reasonable consumer would not have purchased it had they known about the problem.
- The product cannot be used for its normal purpose and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time.
- The product cannot meet an applicable disclosed purpose and cannot readily be remedied.
- Multiple smaller failures collectively amount to a major failure.
Where a product has a major failure under the Australian Consumer Law, the consumer is generally entitled to choose between a refund and a replacement of the same type.
The consumer may instead choose to keep the goods and seek compensation for the reduction in value where the law permits.
Additional compensation may be available for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
VALKORED will not require a customer to accept a repair when the customer is legally entitled to choose a refund or replacement for a major failure.
13. AUSTRALIA — MINOR PRODUCT FAILURES
A minor failure is a problem that does not meet the legal threshold for a major failure.
For a minor failure, the retailer generally has the opportunity to provide an appropriate remedy within a reasonable time.
This may involve repairing the product at no charge.
Where a repair is not provided within a reasonable time, or the relevant statutory conditions for further remedies arise, the customer may become entitled to other solutions.
Depending on the circumstances, these may include a replacement, refund or lawful recovery of reasonable repair costs.
A customer will not be required to accept repeated unsuccessful repairs indefinitely where consumer law provides additional rights.
We will assess whether a proposed repair is appropriate to the nature and circumstances of the problem.
14. AUSTRALIA — HOW LONG DO CONSUMER GUARANTEES LAST?
Australian consumer guarantees do not have one universal expiry date for every product.
Their application depends on the relevant legal requirements and circumstances.
Factors may include:
- Product category.
- Purchase price.
- Reasonably expected durability.
- Ordinary intended use.
- Statements about quality.
- Nature of the defect.
- Relevant product characteristics.
For example, reasonable durability expectations may differ between a simple fashion accessory and an expensive electronic device.
A manufacturer’s warranty may expire before an applicable consumer guarantee ceases to provide protection.
VALKORED will not automatically reject an eligible consumer guarantee claim because a stated 6-month, 12-month or other voluntary warranty period has ended.
Claims will be assessed according to the relevant statutory requirements.
15. AUSTRALIA — REFUND ENTITLEMENTS
Where a customer is entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law, VALKORED will provide the applicable amount.
For a major failure where the consumer chooses a refund, this generally means refunding the full amount paid for the goods.
We will not reduce that refund merely because the customer has used the goods.
The refund will ordinarily be provided using the original payment method, unless another lawful arrangement is agreed.
Where a monetary refund is legally required, we will not substitute a store credit, voucher or loyalty points without the customer’s voluntary agreement where permitted by law.
Additional losses or expenses will be addressed where applicable legislation provides an entitlement to compensation.
16. AUSTRALIA — REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT COSTS
Where a repair or replacement is required under the Australian Consumer Law, the customer should not bear costs that the retailer is legally responsible for meeting.
Relevant costs may include:
- Necessary replacement parts.
- Appropriate repair labour.
- Required product replacement.
- Reasonable transport costs.
- Other amounts recoverable under applicable law.
We may use authorised repair providers or manufacturer facilities where appropriate.
However, customers will not be required to resolve VALKORED’s statutory obligations independently with those providers.
A repair must be carried out within the period and under the conditions required by law.
Where a replacement is provided, it must comply with applicable legal requirements.
17. AUSTRALIA — RETURNS OF FAULTY PRODUCTS
Customers who believe a product is faulty may contact VALKORED for assistance.
Where reasonably practicable, we encourage customers to provide photographs, a description of the problem and proof of purchase.
For products that can be returned by ordinary post, customers may initially need to arrange their return.
Where the product is confirmed to have a problem covered by applicable consumer guarantees, VALKORED will reimburse reasonable return expenses where legally required.
For faulty goods that are large, heavy or difficult to remove, the retailer may be required to collect the goods or pay the appropriate transport costs.
We will comply with those obligations.
Customers making statutory claims are not automatically required to provide original packaging.
Where a product is assessed and no defect is found, any proposed collection or inspection costs will be subject to applicable law, including advance cost-estimate requirements where relevant.
18. AUSTRALIA — REPAIRS AND SPARE PARTS
Certain Australian consumer guarantees concern the availability of repair facilities and spare parts for a reasonable period.
The relevant obligations may apply to manufacturers or importers and are subject to statutory conditions and exceptions.
Availability may depend on the product, its expected lifespan and information properly disclosed before purchase.
Where suppliers advise that repair services or parts will not be available after a particular period, legally required information must be given to customers at the appropriate time.
VALKORED will not advertise guaranteed long-term access to spare parts or servicing unless that claim is supported.
Where customers are entitled to a remedy because an applicable consumer guarantee has been breached, we will assess that entitlement under the relevant law.
19. UNITED KINGDOM — STATUTORY PRODUCT RIGHTS
UK customers are protected by applicable consumer legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Goods supplied to consumers must meet relevant requirements concerning:
- Satisfactory quality.
- Fitness for purpose.
- Correspondence with description.
- Other applicable contractual and statutory standards.
Where goods fail these requirements, customers may have rights to reject them, request repair or replacement, obtain a price reduction or exercise a final right to reject.
The applicable remedy depends on the timing, nature of the failure and other statutory conditions.
A manufacturer’s voluntary warranty does not replace the retailer’s obligations under the Consumer Rights Act.
20. UNITED KINGDOM — THE SHORT-TERM RIGHT TO REJECT
For qualifying goods that fail to conform to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, UK customers generally have a short-term right to reject within 30 days.
The statutory calculation depends on factors including delivery, transfer of ownership and any required installation.
Special rules can apply to perishable goods and other circumstances.
Where the short-term right to reject is validly exercised, customers may be entitled to a full refund.
Customers must clearly communicate their decision to reject the goods.
Where the customer chooses or agrees to repair or replacement during the relevant period, statutory rules may pause or extend the rejection period.
VALKORED will comply with those requirements.
21. UNITED KINGDOM — REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS
Where UK customers have a statutory right to repair or replacement, the chosen remedy must be provided within a reasonable period and without significant inconvenience, subject to applicable legal conditions.
Necessary costs must be borne by the retailer where required by law.
These may include relevant labour, materials and postage.
In some circumstances, a particular remedy may be unavailable because it is impossible or disproportionate compared with the alternative.
Where repair or replacement is unsuccessful, unavailable or otherwise gives rise to further statutory rights, the customer may become entitled to a price reduction or a final right to reject.
We will not require customers to undergo repeated repairs contrary to their statutory rights.
22. UNITED KINGDOM — FAULTS WITHIN THE FIRST SIX MONTHS
Under applicable UK consumer legislation, certain product failures becoming apparent within the first six months after delivery are generally presumed to have existed when the goods were supplied.
This presumption is subject to statutory exceptions, including circumstances where it is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the particular defect.
The presumption does not mean that every problem occurring within six months must automatically be treated as a manufacturing fault.
Where a customer has an eligible claim, the relevant statutory remedies will apply.
We will assess such claims according to the applicable legal rules rather than requiring proof beyond what the law permits.
23. UNITED KINGDOM — RIGHTS AFTER SIX MONTHS
UK customers may continue to have legal rights after the first six months.
However, the evidence required to establish a product defect may change.
Relevant rights and limitation periods depend on the jurisdiction, product and circumstances.
The fact that legal claims may be brought during a longer limitation period does not mean that every product is guaranteed to remain defect-free for that entire period.
A voluntary manufacturer warranty may expire while statutory rights remain potentially available.
We will consider claims in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
24. UNITED KINGDOM — STATUTORY CANCELLATION IS SEPARATE
UK consumers purchasing goods online may also have a statutory right to cancel certain distance-sales contracts without giving a reason.
That right is different from a claim concerning defective or non-conforming goods.
For qualifying online purchases, the ordinary cancellation period generally ends 14 days after receipt of the goods, subject to the applicable statutory rules and exceptions.
Customers do not need to prove a manufacturing defect to exercise an eligible distance-selling cancellation right.
Likewise, a customer with faulty goods may have statutory remedies even after the ordinary change-of-mind cancellation period has ended.
Our Order Cancellation Policy and Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy provide further information.
25. UNITED STATES — FEDERAL AND STATE WARRANTY RIGHTS
United States customers may have rights under applicable federal and state legislation.
Relevant laws include the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and state laws governing express warranties, implied warranties, consumer transactions and product liability.
The specific protections depend on the goods, the contractual representations, any written warranty and the law applicable to the purchase.
Federal warranty legislation does not create a universal requirement that every product must carry a voluntary written warranty.
Where a manufacturer or retailer offers a written warranty subject to federal requirements, the relevant disclosure and performance obligations must be met.
Customers may also have rights under state law even when a voluntary written warranty is not offered.
VALKORED will assess US warranty claims according to the relevant purchase conditions and applicable law.
26. UNITED STATES — EXPRESS WARRANTIES
An express warranty may arise when a seller or manufacturer makes a legally relevant promise or factual representation concerning a product.
Examples may include representations concerning:
- Product performance.
- Manufacturing quality.
- Defect-free operation for a stated period.
- Specified product functionality.
- Particular repair or replacement commitments.
- Other promised characteristics.
An express warranty may be created through an applicable written warranty, product description or other legally relevant representation.
Where VALKORED makes an express warranty, we will comply with the obligations arising from that promise.
We will not advertise an unsupported warranty duration or describe a product as carrying manufacturer protection that has not been verified.
27. UNITED STATES — IMPLIED WARRANTIES
Certain US state laws recognise implied warranties that may apply even without a separate written warranty.
These may include:
Implied Warranty of Merchantability
A legally applicable assurance that the goods are suitable for ordinary purposes for which goods of that type are used.
Implied Warranty of Fitness for a Particular Purpose
A protection that may apply where the seller knows of a particular purpose and the customer relies on the seller’s skill or judgment in selecting suitable goods.
The existence, duration, exclusions and available remedies for implied warranties vary by state.
Some states limit or prohibit attempts to disclaim implied warranties.
Where federal warranty law applies to a written warranty, additional restrictions may govern disclaimers or modifications of implied warranties.
VALKORED will not rely on a general disclaimer to remove protections that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
28. UNITED STATES — WRITTEN WARRANTY DISCLOSURES
Where a written warranty is offered for a consumer product subject to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and applicable Federal Trade Commission rules, additional disclosure requirements may apply.
These can include:
- Identifying the warranty provider.
- Explaining warranty coverage.
- Stating warranty duration.
- Explaining any limitations and exclusions.
- Describing the claim process.
- Explaining the remedies available.
- Providing applicable warranty terms before purchase.
- Identifying a qualifying warranty as full or limited where required.
Where applicable, the warranty terms will be made available in the legally required manner before the customer completes the purchase.
We will not represent a warranty as comprehensive or unrestricted where material limitations apply.
US Product-Specific Warranty Arrangements: Warranties will clearly be indicated on the particular product page if any.
29. MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES
Some products may be accompanied by voluntary warranties provided by their manufacturers.
Where a manufacturer warranty is available, its terms may specify:
- The manufacturer’s identity.
- Covered products.
- Duration.
- Covered defects.
- Repair or replacement arrangements.
- Geographic availability.
- Exclusions.
- How to submit a claim.
- Any permitted customer responsibilities.
The manufacturer or other named warrantor may be responsible for fulfilling its voluntary warranty promises.
Where VALKORED is legally responsible as the retailer, customers may still pursue applicable statutory remedies against VALKORED.
A manufacturer warranty will not be described as worldwide or internationally transferable unless that coverage has been verified.
Manufacturer Warranty Availability: Stated on the product page.
30. VALKORED VOLUNTARY WARRANTIES
VALKORED may choose to provide additional voluntary warranty protection for specified products.
Where such protection is introduced, the relevant terms will be clearly communicated.
Those terms may include:
- The products covered.
- Warranty provider.
- Covered faults.
- Warranty duration.
- Commencement date.
- Claim requirements.
- Available remedies.
- Exclusions.
- Relevant service locations.
- Any lawful customer-paid costs.
- Other required legal disclosures.
VALKORED General Voluntary Warranty Period: All warranties are clearly indicated on products pages if any.
This policy itself does not establish a universal 6-month, 12-month, 24-month or lifetime product warranty.
Where a separate warranty against defects is offered to Australian consumers, the relevant warranty documentation must include the mandatory Australian Consumer Law statement and all other prescribed information.
This includes appropriate warrantor contact details and clear claim procedures.
A general statement that a product is covered by consumer law is not a substitute for the legally required wording in a formal warranty against defects document.
31. EXTENDED WARRANTIES AND SERVICE PLANS
VALKORED may introduce optional extended warranties or service plans in the future.
If offered, these products will be governed by separate terms and applicable consumer, insurance or financial services requirements.
Before purchasing, customers will be informed about:
- What additional protection is provided.
- Which party provides the coverage.
- The price.
- Duration.
- Relevant exclusions.
- Available repair or replacement services.
- Claim procedures.
- Any cancellation rights.
We will not misleadingly describe statutory consumer protections as special paid benefits.
Any optional coverage should provide clearly identifiable benefits beyond rights that customers already possess by law.
Extended Warranty or Service Plan Availability: NONE.
32. INTERNATIONAL SUPPLIERS AND WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITY
VALKORED may source products from international manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and supplier-direct fulfilment partners.
Some goods may be dispatched directly from overseas warehouses.
International supplier arrangements can affect the availability of manufacturer repair facilities, spare parts and regional warranty services.
However, a supplier’s involvement does not automatically remove VALKORED’s obligations under applicable consumer law.
For Australian consumer transactions, customers can generally seek applicable consumer guarantee remedies from the retailer rather than being required to negotiate with the manufacturer.
For UK consumer transactions, the retailer has statutory responsibilities under the applicable goods contract.
For US transactions, the seller’s and manufacturer’s obligations depend on the relevant law, contract and warranties.
We will not promise manufacturer-backed servicing in a customer’s country unless such servicing has been confirmed.
33. PARALLEL IMPORTS AND REGIONAL WARRANTIES
Some internationally sourced products may differ from goods distributed through official regional channels.
Such products may have different:
- Warranty arrangements.
- Manufacturer support eligibility.
- Product specifications.
- Power requirements.
- Packaging.
- Instructions.
- Software or regional compatibility.
- Regulatory markings.
Where an item is sourced through a channel that affects material product support or compatibility, VALKORED will provide the disclosures required by applicable law.
A product’s lack of eligibility for an optional local manufacturer warranty does not automatically remove statutory rights against VALKORED where those rights apply.
We will not describe a product as carrying an official regional manufacturer’s warranty unless we have a reasonable basis for that representation.
34. ELECTRONICS AND TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS
VALKORED may offer electronic devices and accessories, including phone cases, watch straps, charging accessories and other technology products.
Customers should review the relevant specifications before purchase.
These may include:
- Device compatibility.
- Model numbers.
- Connection types.
- Charging requirements.
- Battery specifications.
- Voltage compatibility.
- Supported functionality.
- Operating instructions.
- Safety warnings.
Where we advertise compatibility with a specific device or product, that representation must be accurate.
If an item is materially incompatible with a device for which it was expressly advertised as suitable, the customer may have a statutory claim.
Ordinary product care requirements must not be used to avoid responsibility for genuine defects.
Electrical and battery products may also require specific safety certifications, testing or regulatory documentation before sale in the destination market.
35. CLOTHING, FASHION AND ACCESSORIES
VALKORED may offer clothing, underwear, intimate apparel, fashion accessories and wearable products.
Relevant quality considerations may include:
- Fabric composition.
- Stitching and construction.
- Colour accuracy.
- Size and measurements.
- Product durability.
- Fasteners and fittings.
- Correspondence with product descriptions.
- Other relevant product characteristics.
Normal differences in garment fit do not automatically establish a product defect.
However, inaccurate measurements, materially incorrect descriptions or manufacturing faults may give rise to consumer rights.
For example, where a clothing item is supplied in a size different from the one ordered, the matter may be treated as incorrect fulfilment rather than an ordinary change of mind.
Where customers simply prefer another size despite accurate product information, the relevant voluntary return policy or applicable statutory cancellation right may apply.
36. BEAUTY AND PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS
Beauty and personal care products may be subject to specific safety, ingredient, labelling and regulatory requirements.
Depending on the product, quality concerns may include:
- Product contamination.
- Incorrect ingredients.
- Defective packaging.
- Materially misleading descriptions.
- Relevant safety warnings.
- Adverse reactions.
- Failure to meet applicable legal requirements.
Customers should follow the product’s instructions and relevant safety information.
If a product causes an unexpected or concerning reaction, customers should discontinue use and seek appropriate medical assistance where necessary.
Customers may contact VALKORED to report the product concern.
The fact that a beauty or personal care product has been opened does not automatically remove statutory rights concerning defective, unsafe or misdescribed goods.
Hygiene-based restrictions on voluntary change-of-mind returns must not be used to deny mandatory consumer remedies.
37. HOME, KITCHEN, FURNITURE AND GARDENING PRODUCTS
Products intended for household, kitchen, garden or outdoor use must meet the relevant legal requirements for their category.
Quality concerns may involve:
- Material strength.
- Construction.
- Product stability.
- Assembly components.
- Mechanical operation.
- Electrical safety.
- Sharp edges or moving parts.
- Suitable instructions.
- Product durability.
- Compliance with relevant safety requirements.
Customers should follow applicable assembly, maintenance and operating instructions.
Where professional installation is required, the relevant product information should explain that requirement.
A genuine manufacturing or design defect will be assessed under applicable law.
For large, heavy or difficult-to-return faulty goods, VALKORED will meet collection or reasonable return-cost obligations where required.
38. CLAIMS INVOLVING DAMAGE OR MISUSE
Not every product problem is necessarily covered by a consumer guarantee or voluntary warranty.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, limitations may arise where a problem is caused by:
- Accidental damage occurring after lawful delivery.
- Misuse.
- Improper installation.
- Unauthorised alterations that caused the defect.
- Use outside the product’s reasonably intended purpose.
- Failure to follow appropriate safety instructions.
- Normal wear consistent with the product’s expected life.
- Damage unrelated to an existing defect or legal failure.
However, we will not automatically reject a claim merely because a product has been used, opened or repaired.
The cause of the problem must be assessed reasonably.
Where a product’s poor durability, inadequate instructions, unsafe design or existing defect contributed to the damage, applicable legal rights may still arise.
Any limitations under a voluntary warranty are separate from mandatory consumer protections.
39. HOW TO MAKE A CONSUMER GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY CLAIM
Customers seeking assistance should contact:
Email: support@valkored.com
Suggested Subject: Warranty Claim — Order #[Order Number]
Where reasonably available, please provide:
- Order number.
- Name associated with the purchase.
- Email address used at checkout.
- Product name or model.
- Approximate date of purchase or delivery.
- Description of the fault or concern.
- When the problem first became apparent.
- Relevant photographs or videos, where practical.
- The remedy requested.
We may request additional information reasonably necessary to investigate the matter.
Customers do not need to provide unnecessary sensitive personal information.
A customer exercising a statutory right will not be required to comply with an unreasonable administrative process that unlawfully restricts that right.
Customer Service Response Target: 1 - 2 DAYS
40. PROOF OF PURCHASE
We may request reasonable evidence that a product was purchased through VALKORED.
Examples may include:
- Order confirmation.
- Payment receipt.
- Customer account order history.
- Transaction record.
- Other information that reasonably establishes the purchase.
An original paper receipt will not necessarily be required if the transaction can be verified through another appropriate method.
We encourage customers to retain their electronic order confirmations.
Where a manufacturer’s voluntary warranty has additional proof-of-purchase conditions, those conditions will be assessed separately and in accordance with applicable law.
41. PRODUCT INSPECTION AND CLAIM ASSESSMENT
Some product concerns can be assessed using order records, photographs, videos or other available information.
Other concerns may require physical examination or technical testing.
Where appropriate, VALKORED may coordinate assessment through:
- The manufacturer.
- A qualified technician.
- An authorised repair provider.
- An appropriate supplier representative.
- Another suitable service provider.
We will take reasonable steps to explain the assessment process.
We will not intentionally delay an assessment to frustrate a valid statutory claim.
Where a defect is confirmed, the appropriate remedy and relevant costs will be determined under applicable law.
Where no defect is found, any proposed assessment or transport charges will be subject to applicable legal requirements and prior disclosures.
42. REPAIRS
Where repair is the appropriate remedy, VALKORED may arrange for the product to be repaired by a suitable service provider.
The repair process may involve replacement parts, technical assessment or other work.
Where the repair is legally required, it will be provided under the applicable statutory conditions.
Customers will not be charged for repairs that the retailer must provide at no cost under consumer law.
A reasonable repair period depends on the nature of the product, availability of relevant parts and other circumstances.
General Administrative Repair Target: No fixed target
This target will not replace statutory requirements concerning reasonable time or significant inconvenience.
Where repair is unavailable, unsuccessful or not completed as legally required, additional remedies may apply.
43. REPLACEMENTS
Where a replacement is an available and appropriate remedy, VALKORED will arrange a qualifying replacement according to applicable law.
A replacement should meet the relevant product description and legal quality requirements.
Customers will not be required to accept a materially inferior substitute in place of a replacement to which they are legally entitled.
Where the same product is unavailable, we will discuss the lawful options.
These may include an agreed alternative product or a refund where required.
Additional delivery costs associated with providing a legally required replacement will be handled according to the relevant consumer protection rules.
44. REFUNDS FOR FAULTY OR NON-CONFORMING PRODUCTS
Where a refund is legally required, VALKORED will provide the amount and method of reimbursement required by applicable law.
Refunds will ordinarily be issued through the original payment method where practicable.
Where the original method is unavailable, another lawful arrangement may be agreed.
We will not automatically substitute store credit for a monetary refund where the law requires repayment.
The refund may need to include relevant original delivery charges or other amounts depending on the transaction and applicable law.
Internal Refund Processing Target: 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS
This administrative target does not override statutory refund deadlines.
45. RETURN SHIPPING AND TRANSPORT COSTS
Responsibility for the cost of returning a product depends on the reason for return and applicable law.
Where goods are faulty or otherwise fail statutory requirements, VALKORED will bear the expenses for which it is legally responsible.
This may include:
- Reasonable return postage.
- Necessary collection charges.
- Appropriate transport for large or heavy goods.
- Legally required replacement delivery costs.
- Other recoverable expenses.
For Australian claims, reasonable customer-paid return costs must be reimbursed where required following confirmation of the relevant fault.
For UK statutory repairs or replacements, necessary costs are borne by the trader in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
US return-cost responsibilities depend on the relevant warranty, transaction and applicable law.

Please provide relevant product and order information.
Where appropriate, we may request photographs, batch numbers, serial numbers or other identifying details.
If a product has caused a serious injury or an immediate danger exists, seek appropriate emergency or medical assistance.
We will assess product safety reports and take the actions required by applicable law.
47. PRODUCT RECALLS
A product recall may occur when goods present an unacceptable safety risk or another issue requiring corrective action.
Where VALKORED becomes aware of a relevant recall, we will assess its responsibilities as a retailer and any other applicable supply-chain role.
Depending on the circumstances and legal requirements, actions may include:
- Suspending affected product listings.
- Identifying affected orders.
- Contacting customers.
- Issuing safety warnings.
- Providing instructions to stop using affected goods.
- Arranging repairs, replacements or refunds.
- Coordinating with suppliers and regulators.
- Completing legally required reports.
- Taking other appropriate corrective action.
We will not knowingly continue selling recalled or prohibited products where doing so would be unlawful.
Where mandatory reporting requirements apply, including those concerning serious product-related injuries or illnesses, we will meet the applicable deadlines.
VALKORED Product Recall Procedure and Responsible Contact: Contact us for more information in such an event.
48. PRODUCT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS BY COUNTRY
Product safety requirements vary between jurisdictions.
Australia
Products may be subject to Australian mandatory safety standards, product bans, electrical safety requirements, labelling rules and recall obligations.
United Kingdom
Products supplied to UK customers may be subject to general and category-specific product safety rules, conformity requirements, traceability obligations and other regulatory measures.
Certain requirements differ between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
United States
Products may be subject to requirements administered by agencies including the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, the Food and Drug Administration or other relevant authorities, depending on the product category.
VALKORED will assess which requirements apply to the goods it proposes to sell.
A product being advertised by an overseas supplier does not establish that it has completed the testing, certification or other assessments required in the destination country.
Product Compliance and Supplier Verification Process: All our products undergo extensive quality control procedures to ensure our customers get value for their money.
49. CLAIMS FOR ADDITIONAL LOSS OR DAMAGE
In some circumstances, a defective or non-conforming product may cause loss or damage beyond the original purchase price.
Examples may include reasonable additional expenses or damage caused by a product problem.
The ability to claim compensation depends on applicable law, causation, foreseeability and other relevant requirements.
Australian consumer law may provide compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage arising from a failure to comply with consumer guarantees.
UK and US customers may have additional remedies under applicable legislation or legal principles.
Customers should provide relevant information concerning any claimed additional loss.
VALKORED will assess the matter fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in this policy excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
